We started West Texas Tree Removal in 2014 with a simple idea: the right equipment beats more bodies on the ground. Most tree work in the Permian Basin is still climbers, ropes, and a big crew working slowly around your home. We invested in an Altec grapple saw truck and a spider lift — and built a small, safety-first team around them.

The result is faster, cleaner, and competitively priced removal — backed by the insurance, cleanup, and customer service West Texas homeowners deserve.

Why homeowners choose us

Why choose West Texas Tree Removal

Three things consistently set us apart from the typical climber-and-rope crew working the Permian Basin.

01

Specialized equipment

We have invested in state-of-the-art equipment designed specifically for tree removal. The machine that really sets us apart is our Altec Effer 225 Grapplesaw truck — it lets us remove trees from a safe position anywhere on the job site with a remote control. That means large removals in half the time, with half the crew, in a much safer and more controlled manner — no impact to the property below. We also run a specialized spider lift: a tracked manlift that fits through a 36" gate with 61 feet of reach up and 36 feet of side reach, for those tight backyard and courtyard removals.

02

Professionalism

We deliver top-notch service and handle every request with expertise — ensuring your experience is smooth and hassle-free. Our crew is well trained in industry best practices, and safety is our top priority. There are many in West Texas who will risk their lives and your property to cut trees down with ladders and without proper safety gear or training. If you want the best — and you don't want to wonder whether the job will actually get done properly and safely — call West Texas Tree Removal.

03

Cost

We can often beat other top tree services in the area on price simply because we are able to do the job so much faster and easier — with less manpower, using our state-of-the-art equipment. This is especially true on bigger trees or projects with multiple tree removals. We aren't cheap, but our prices are very competitive with the other insured professional tree services in the area. It's not often you can get the best AND the best price.

Why we’re faster & cleaner

The right equipment beats more bodies on the ground.

Most tree crews use climbers and ropes. We invested in a grapple saw truck and a spider lift — equipment that finishes jobs faster, cleaner, and at less risk to your property.

Us vs. typical crews

What "faster, cleaner" actually means

With our equipment
  • 2–3 person crew, most jobs done in half a day
  • Limbs lowered in a controlled way — no rope free-falls
  • Spider lift fits through 36" gates, no fence damage
  • Cleanup as we work — yard reset before we leave
  • Fewer hours = competitive pricing without corner-cutting
Traditional crews
  • 5+ ground crew, full day per tree
  • Climbers + ropes — slower and more risk to property
  • Bigger trucks can't reach the backyard
  • Cleanup as a separate billing line
  • More hours = higher quotes
~5 hrs Our average per removal
